“Wear what you like, when you like, where you like!”
Hey, I’m Lea!
Mother, Music Lover and Owner of Walk The Line.
My love of Vintage Clothes started from a young age. It began with my Grandad's influence. He loved music. He introduced me to the sound of Johnny cash at the age of 9 and I took to it instantly. We always sang along to Johnny Cash on car rides and my Grandad sang so well that he actually sounded like him. This is how the name came along - Walk The Line Vintage.
My love for Johnny Cash helped me find my other loves in music - Bob Dylan, The Beatles, David Bowie, Kenny Rogers, Beach Boys, The Kinks, Elvis and many more. I started to read books and watch videos of these stars. I always chose to put on old movies instead of modern ones. I wanted to dress like the women in those old films; Grandad said ‘you can, you can wear anything you like.’
I began to notice the different styles of the years and started searching for Vintage clothes everywhere I could. I worked as a professional stylist at big companies for years but have always worn, reworked and loved Vintage. I had a good eye for it, people began to ask me if I would sell the clothes off my back, and eventually I did! I’ve been selling vintage clothes ever since. Now instead of from my back, its from my shop in Nantwich and here, walkthelinevintage.com
